Cohen got the picture. Surrounded by a tiny deck, the existing pool was offset from the rest of the property. \u201cThe landscape had no flow and was not very functional,\u201d he says. \u201cWe wanted to create something that was going to make the property look like it should.\u201d<br \/>\n<code><br \/><\/code><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-896 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.surroundslandscaping.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/grand-vision-2.jpg\" alt=\"Grand Vision - view 2\" width=\"380\" height=\"253\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 380px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 380\/253;\" \/>Cohen\u2019s plan started at the driveway, where he designed a stately stone gate with a wrought-iron fence to usher guests into the backyard. From there, a limestone cobble walkway leads down an all\u00e9e lined with crape myrtle to a small stone wall, then turns left past an outdoor grilling area, eventually arriving at the newly revamped pool. \u201cThe pool deck has plenty of room for chairs,\u201d says Cohen, \u201cso now you can actually lounge around it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The project also encompassed a new outdoor room complete with a massive stone fireplace, limestone floors and a pitched pine roof where the owners entertain year-round.
